cbeacon

cbeacon is a command line program that transmits iBeacon advertisements.

Requirements

This program requires macOS 10.12 or greater.

Help

$ cbeacon
OVERVIEW:
  This command line tool is for transmit iBeacon advertisements.
  iBeacon technology uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).

USAGE:
  cbeacon [--time duration] <uuid> <major> <minor>
  cbeacon --version

OPTIONS:
  --time, -t      Duration time for transmission in seconds. 5 seconds default.
  --version, -v   Print version
  --help          Display available options

POSITIONAL ARGUMENTS:
  uuid            Proximity UUID
  major           Major (16bits)
  minor           Minor (16bits)

Installation

Homebrew

$ brew install sgrastar24/tap/cbeacon

Build by yourself

$ git clone https://github.com/sgrastar24/cbeacon.git
$ cd cbeacon
$ make install

Run example

Transmits advertisements of Major 100 and Minor 200 for 30 seconds.

$ cbeacon -t 30 550e8400-e29b-41d4-a716-446655440000 100 200
