Setting up a new Mac

  1. Install Xcode (download directly from developer site)

  2. Install 1password

    • Connect to iCloud

  3. Install Fliqlo and hot corner bottom left corner to screen saver

  4. Create ssh key

    • ssh-keygen -t ed25519
    • Add public key to Github

  5. Set up environment

    git clone [email protected]:michael-yx-wu/environment.git
cd environment
./install_dev_tools_and_setup.sh

  6. Install iTerm2

    • Load preferences from this directory

  7. Install BetterTouchTool

    • Import license from Google Drive
    • Import btt.prefs

  8. Set hostname

  9. Install Fira Code
